Our Missions
Inform
Through its analysis of current events, thematic dossiers, and public interventions, the IEB aims to provide reliable, rigorous, and accessible information about political and scientific developments in bioethics.
Educate
Each year, the IEB organizes various types of training in bioethics. These trainings can be general or focus on a specific theme. The IEB regularly works with healthcare professionals but also offers training to the general public and young students.
Raise awareness
Thanks to its expertise on numerous bioethical issues in Belgium, Europe, and beyond, the IEB team strives to draw the attention of citizens, caregivers, and public institutions to the hopes and promises, as well as the risks inherent in certain biomedical practices or decisions.

Support the IEB
To carry out its activities, the IEB relies solely on the enthusiasm and motivation of private donors.
Any donation of €40 or more to the IEB is tax-deductible in Belgium, allowing you to reclaim 45% of your donation.
For example, a donation of €100 will actually cost you €55, as you can deduct €45 from your taxes.
